Hassle Free Web Browsing With Internet Explorer

I use Internet Explorer to browse the internet, but I hate all the pop-up boxes, dodgy active-x controls which crash my computer and generally most advertising crap.
A quick guide to turning off most of it:
1) Tools->Options->Security->Internet->Custom Level...
  Disable all ActiveX controls
  Disable all Scripting
2) Tools->Options->Security->Trusted Sites
  Add all sites you trust such as hotmail, and various websites where you know it won't be filled with enormous amounts of irritation.
3) Browse away.
